Generative AI is a versatile tool that can be used in a wide range of situations and for many purposes. This page is for members of the public (beginners) who may encounter generative AI in their daily lives. It hosts teaching materials covering:
- The basics of generative AI
- Common use cases and entry-level usage patterns
- Things to watch out for when using generative AI
Please use it to build the literacy you need to make use of generative AI for yourself.
You can download the materials as either PowerPoint or PDF, whichever you prefer.
Great for in-house training and for students
Putting together training materials like this typically takes a lot of time. By using these materials directly, you can hold a session without spending any time on slide creation.
The explanations are gentle, and quizzes are scattered throughout, which keeps learners engaged rather than zoning out.
We’re using this resource ourselves for an introductory training session on the 11th.
You don’t have to use everything
If you already have your own materials, you can pull individual slides as supplements or additions. Quoting just the parts that fit your context will make your existing deck stronger without throwing it out.
